This gimbal uses motors to compensate for movements in the pitch toll and tilt axis. When a camera is mounted to this unit it will work to smooth out movements. It is packed with a host of useful features to help you get the most creative shots. The front trigger can lock the gimbal when held, re-centre the gimbal when tapped twice. Tap it three times and it will engage the Selfie mode by turning 180°. Three customizable operation profiles are each tuneable to adjust speed and response for different shooting scenarios. They are engaged by pressing the mode.
The DJI Ronin-S is very responsive, it can handle shooting fast-moving subjects, as the Sport mode delivers extra-quick response times and fast gimbal movements, up to a maximum speed of 45 mph. These features have made the Ronin-S popular with documentary, event, and feature film creators. While using the conventional battery grip, the Ronin-S will last up to 12 hours on a single charge.
Here is what DJI have to say about their Ronin-S.
